Guess who has an acute case of plantar fasciitis in their left foot. I do.... Fun, huh? I've been told, no more flip flops, no bare feet, and make sure I wear shoes with good arch support. I'm thinking I'll have lots of time to recover before the half and I can still go walk and do the elliptical so I'm not worried.
On a more positive note...
My name is Cathy and I'm a habitual weigher. A week ago I weighed myself and I was 194.6 and yesterday and today I weighed and I am 190.4...nice!!! I love when water weight falls off and gives you that nice weight loss. Now...don't get all worried thinking I'm trying to lose weight while pregnant...this is not the case. I love to eat and boy do I eat! I'm just glad that I'm not that close to 200 this early in the game. I just know the more weight I gain the harder it is for me later in the pregnancy. My IT band starts flaring up, my feet hurt from all the weight, and my pelvic muscles/joints/whatever get all out of whack and hurt like a mother when I try to lift my leg to put pants on...I just don't want that happening again. So, I'm hoping that with continuing running/walking/ellipticalling I can take control of this weight gain, before it gets out of hand.
Today I got some inserts so, I'm planning on doing my 5 miles around the lake. Lets hope the inserts help with the ache in my foot.

I think you are so brave to post your weight. I have no problem telling people what my weight is to their faces, but putting it in print for some reason is just not an option for me.
Am I crazy???... Don't answer that! LOL =)
I think I have your plantar fasciitis thingy too. Do you think wearing flip flops year round has anything to do with it? LOL =) Time to actually go out a buy some shoes for this winter!
happy day! (the weight loss, not the plantar business) Good luck with it all!
I have the plantar thing too- I spend much of my work day rolling a golf ball under my foot. It helps!
Hope your foot gets better soon! I agree with onelittletrigirl's comment - roll your foot over a golf or tennis ball.
UGh sorry about the PF but yay for 17 weeks and losing some water weight!
I sure hope that foot gets better with a little "lighter" workouts. heeheehee (you know, you are lighter now and you need to take the workouts lighter...heeheehee) Okay not as funny when I have to explain it.
I also have plantars faciatus and a heel spur in my left foot. It is awful. I love wearing flip flops but I gave them up about 2 weeks ago and wear my tennis shoes almost everywhere (sexy..I know) but it has helped, along with the golf ball. I keep it under the TV and I rub it while I watch TV. Also, a frozen water bottle. This info came straight from my doc. Good luck with it all. I also am a habitual weigher and my scale is not going in the same direction as yours unfortunatley. I've been eating way too much and I have decided to start logging my calories again. I'm only up about 3 pounds but that is significant to me.
Glad you're feeling so positive about your weight. I hated being pregnant - with both kids - because I couldn't control my weight. It drove me crazy watching the needle on the scale move up and up.
